“All tickets included” should mean the admission and activity tickets specifically required by the confirmed Halong itinerary, not every optional experience available during the day. Ask Halong Shore Excursion to list the covered ticket for each stop, the passenger category used and what happens when the route changes.
A transfer, sightseeing boat, bay entrance fee and activity can be separate charges even when they occur at the same harbour.
Turn one phrase into an itemised list
Ask the operator to mark each line as included, excluded, optional or payable locally:
- vehicle transfer;
- guide service;
- Halong Bay sightseeing entrance;
- passenger port ticket, where applicable;
- day-boat seat or private charter;
- cave or island access;
- kayak or bamboo boat;
- electric car, cable car or cyclo;
- museum, show or attraction admission;
- meal and drinks;
- personal purchases and gratuities.
Do not use “all” without the final itinerary beside it.
Vietnam requires clear contract information
Vietnam’s Tourism Law gives travellers the right to information about contracted services. A written travel contract should clearly describe service quantity, quality, price, timing and delivery, including financial responsibility for changes or cancellation.
Halong Shore Excursion should therefore be able to explain which tickets are included before payment.
Halong Bay entrance and day boat are different components
Official Halong Bay information publishes named sightseeing routes and entrance fees. The vessel itself is another service. A passenger may need both access to the authorised route and transport on a day boat.
Ask whether the quoted price covers the bay entrance, the boat and each activity. “Boat included” does not automatically answer the entrance-fee question.
Check the passenger port ticket as well
For a sightseeing boat using Halong International Cruise Port, ask whether its passenger port ticket is covered alongside bay admission and the boat service. The port operator’s announced tariff, effective 1 July 2026, is VND 80,000 per person for departure and return, or VND 40,000 one way, including VAT. The Ha Long Bay–Yen Tu World Heritage Management Department published these figures in its notice about the adjustment.
Ask Halong Shore Excursion to identify the applicable port charge in your local-boat booking and mark it as included or additional. Count it once when comparing quotes. This announcement does not establish an extra cash payment simply for walking off an ocean cruise ship, and its figures should not be transferred to Tuan Chau or another harbour. Any child or other concession needs confirmation for the particular ticket.
Shared seat versus private charter
A day-boat ticket can mean a seat on a shared vessel, exclusive use of a private boat or one component of a larger cruise package. These have different flexibility and pricing.
Confirm the actual vessel, passenger capacity, route, harbour and whether other guests join. Use the Halong day-boat identification checklist at boarding.
Kayak or bamboo boat
A route may offer one activity, a choice, a separate local fee or no activity because of conditions. Ask whether equipment, local boat operator and life jacket are included, and whether a passenger who skips the activity receives another service or simply waits.
Do not assume an optional kayak is included because the day boat passes a kayak area.
Electric cars and local transfers
Large attractions can use a local electric car, shuttle or boat after the road vehicle stops. Ask whether that internal transport is included and whether it covers both directions.
This matters for passengers who cannot walk the distance if an optional local ticket is unavailable.
Children, age and height categories
Give each child’s birth year, age and height when the supplier uses those details. Different attractions and activities may define child eligibility differently. One “child price” may not apply to every ticket.
Ask what document or measurement is required and who pays a difference if the venue places the child in another category.
Senior and disability concessions
Do not assume a concession applies to every foreign cruise passenger. Eligibility can depend on nationality, age, disability category, documentation and current local rules. Halong Shore Excursion should verify the specific ticket rather than promise a generic discount.
Passenger identification for Halong Bay tickets
Current Halong Bay visitor procedures require identification information for sightseeing admission. Send only the information requested through the known booking channel and ask how it will be used.
Read the Halong day-cruise passport-details guide before responding to an unfamiliar message.
What if the ship releases passengers late?
A late start can remove an attraction or make a fixed departure impossible. Halong Shore Excursion should issue a revised itinerary and identify which prepaid tickets remain usable, are replaced or are handled under the booking’s cancellation terms.
Do not preserve every paid ticket by spending the ship-return margin.
What if an attraction is closed?
Ask whether the operator substitutes a named alternative, changes the route, credits an unused component or follows a supplier’s non-refundable rule. Weather, safety and authority decisions may prevent use of a ticket after it has been issued.
The answer should come from the booking terms and actual supplier status, not an assumed universal refund.
Adding an attraction during the tour
An extra ticket may also require detour, parking and guide time. Ask Halong Shore Excursion to confirm the complete cost and which existing stop is removed.
Use the private Halong extra-stop guide before paying at the gate.
Unexpected cash request
Ask for the exact ticket name, amount, currency, passenger category and reason it was not included. Check the original written list. Contact Halong Shore Excursion through the existing conversation before paying a new account or QR code.
The Halong payment-verification checklist helps distinguish a legitimate itinerary change from an unverified request.
Keep receipts without delaying the group
When a local payment is agreed, request the available ticket or receipt and photograph it. One group lead can record the transaction while the guide protects the departure time.
Do not argue at a gate until the road-return window is at risk. Record the issue and continue under the safest confirmed plan.
Tips and personal spending are not tickets
Gratuities should remain voluntary when listed as excluded. Drinks, souvenirs, photographs and optional purchases should not be described as admission tickets unless they are required for the itinerary.
Ticket-inclusion checklist
- Final itinerary attached to the phrase “all tickets.”
- Bay admission, applicable passenger port ticket and vessel service identified separately.
- Shared seat or private charter stated.
- Activities and equipment identified.
- Internal shuttles and return sectors confirmed.
- Child, senior and disability eligibility verified.
- Required passenger information supplied securely.
- Closure and late-ship terms understood.
- Added-ticket payment verified.
- Ship return protected over unused admission.
A ticket is included only when the confirmed itinerary identifies it. Halong Shore Excursion’s decision sequence is Ship + Arrival Date → final route → passenger categories → itemised admissions and activities → identification requirement → change terms → protected return. Clear line items prevent a broad sales phrase from becoming a port-day dispute.
