Halong Shore Excursion

Nearest Pharmacy for Halong Cruise Port Passengers

Two pharmacy addresses to check in Bai Chay are MedHomes 3 at 21 Vuon Dao and FPT Long Chau at 496 Ha Long. Both are outside Halong International Cruise Port. The nearest suitable open pharmacy depends on the passenger exit, current opening status and whether the medicine is in stock.

If an essential medicine is lost, damaged or running out, contact the ship’s medical team before searching ashore. Halong Shore Excursion recommends confirming the product and branch before adding a pharmacy stop to the port day.

MedHomes 3 — Nhà thuốc MedHomes 3

  • Address: 21 Vuon Dao, Bai Chay, Quang Ninh — Số 21 Vườn Đào, Bãi Cháy, Quảng Ninh.
  • Verification: a Quang Ninh health-authority pharmacy-practice decision lists this pharmacy at that address, with validity stated through 31 July 2027.

The registration record supports the name and address. It does not prove today’s opening hours, stock, English service or ability to supply a particular prescription.

The listed scope covers medicine stored at ordinary temperatures. Do not assume the shop can supply or correctly store a refrigerated product.

FPT Long Chau — Nhà thuốc FPT Long Châu

  • Address: 496 Ha Long, Group 1, Area 9A, Bai Chay, Quang Ninh — 496 Hạ Long, Tổ 1, Khu 9A, Bãi Cháy, Quảng Ninh.
  • Landmark: beside Bai Chay Secondary School — bên cạnh Trường THCS Bãi Cháy.
  • Published hours: the chain directory gives general daily hours of 06:00–23:00 and states that hours vary by branch.

For a stock enquiry, Long Chau publishes 1800 6928, option 1 as its chain purchase-advice line, with call-centre hours of 08:00–22:00. This is not a direct number for the 496 Ha Long branch. Name that branch and ask staff to confirm the exact medicine, current availability and collection arrangement. If your phone cannot reach the number, ask your guide to help make the enquiry.

Chain contact details checked on 12 October 2026. Confirm the branch’s current status before setting out. Call-centre availability and chain-wide store hours do not guarantee that this branch is open or has the item.

Names, addresses and published records above were checked on 13 September 2026. Reconfirm opening and stock for the day of your call.

Start from the public port exit

A street route does not describe movement through the secured international berth. First follow the ship and port route to the Main Lobby and public side.

Use the Halong cruise-passenger exit guide. Ask port staff or your guide to confirm the pharmacy destination and a practical return pickup point.

Do not follow a map through a restricted gate or vehicle lane. Save the port name and public entrance for the return.

Confirm the medicine before travelling

Ask the pharmacy whether it has the exact active ingredient, strength and form. If a prescription is required or the product is unavailable, ask what document or medical consultation is needed.

Bring or send:

  • generic or active-ingredient name;
  • strength and dosage form, such as tablet, liquid, injection or inhaler;
  • prescribed directions;
  • modified-release, extended-release or other formulation wording;
  • a clear photo of the labelled original package;
  • a prescription copy when available;
  • other medicines, relevant conditions and known allergies.

A familiar brand name, tablet colour or box design is not enough to identify an equivalent medicine.

Do not substitute on appearance alone

Have a qualified clinician or pharmacist check any proposed replacement. A similar name can have a different ingredient, strength, release mechanism or route of administration.

Do not change the dose or combine the original and replacement product without professional advice. For a controlled medicine, injection or essential prescription, involve the ship’s medical team.

Use the lost or damaged medicine guide to record doses and prevent an accidental duplicate after a replacement is found.

Check the package at the counter

  • Use a licensed pharmacy rather than an open market.
  • Prefer intact original packaging.
  • Check the active ingredient, strength, form and expiry.
  • Ask for instructions you understand.
  • Keep the label and receipt.
  • If tablets are supplied separately, ask to see the original container and record the name, batch and expiry.

Packaging checks reduce mistakes but cannot prove authenticity by appearance alone. Show the purchase to the ship medical team when the medicine is important or unfamiliar.

Temperature-sensitive medicine needs a separate plan

Do not rely on a pharmacy, café, vehicle or terminal refrigerator without permission and temperature confirmation. Ask the pharmacist or medical team how the product must be transported and stored.

Use the temperature-sensitive medicine guide. Do not freeze a product or place it directly against ice unless its manufacturer instructions permit that method.

Contact the ship medical team again if the medicine cannot be matched, a local prescription is needed, several shops lack stock or the passenger has missed an important dose. Moving from shop to shop can consume the return margin without solving the problem.

For serious or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek medical help immediately. Aboard, alert the crew. Ashore, call 115 and ask nearby staff for language and location help.

The Halong hospital guide lists current contacts, but let the emergency service or medical team choose the suitable facility.

Protect the return to the ship

Allow for leaving the port, travel, explanation at the counter, possible waiting, payment and the full route back aboard. Set a point at which the search stops and the group returns or seeks clinical help.

Keep ship cards, prescription information and the public port entrance available offline. Halong Shore Excursion can use Ship + Arrival Date → excursion-fit logic to place a pharmacy stop inside the actual meeting-to-return window.
