Itinerary

Day 1: Cruise ship > Halong > Hanoi

8:00 AM – Pickup (flexible until 9:00 AM if needed)
Your driver will pick you up at the flagpole and take you to Tuan Chau Harbor. Meet your local guide and board the boat.

8:20 AM – Halong Bay Cruise
Check in onboard and cruise into Halong Bay. Visit Thien Cung Cave and Dau Go Cave, then enjoy kayaking at Ba Hang. Continue into the core of the bay to see iconic limestone formations such as Incense Burner Rock and Fighting Cock Rock. Enjoy lunch onboard while cruising back to the harbor.

12:00 PM – Transfer to Hanoi
Arrive back at the harbor. Your driver will take you to Hanoi, where you will meet your local Hanoi guide.

2:30 PM – Temple of Literature
Visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university and one of Hanoi’s most important historical landmarks.

4:00 PM – Water Puppet Show & Hanoi Experience
Watch a traditional Water Puppet Show, then explore Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter. Continue with a Hanoi street food tour, sampling local specialties along the way.

Finish with a cup of coffee at Hanoi Train Street and watch the train pass at approximately 7:10 PM, 7:30 PM, 7:50 PM, or 8:10 PM, depending on the actual train schedule.

After the tour, your driver will drop you off at your hotel in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi > Cruise ship

8:00 AM – Check-out & Ho Chi Minh Complex
Check out of your hotel and visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex. See the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from the outside, then visit the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Uncle Ho’s Stilt House, fish pond, and the One Pillar Pagoda.

9:30 AM – Return to Halong
Leave Hanoi and drive back to Halong.

12:00 PM – Arrive at the Flagpole
Arrive at the flagpole near the cruise port. From here, you can make your own way back to the cruise ship.

Flagpole outside the Main Lobby entrance · 7:30–9:00 AM (latest)

After your ship docks, you’ll need about 30 minutes to disembark and make your way to the main lobby, either on foot or by the free shuttle bus (about 1 km).

Excellent Service and Very Kind to My Elderly Mother

Excellent service from Hai Phong Tours. The communication was quick and clear, and the drivers were kind, careful, and punctual. They were especially considerate of my elderly mother, which we really appreciated. I would definitely use their service again.

Wr used Hai Phuong Tours for transfers in northern Vietnam during our 3 week trip there. They arranged private transfers for my family (and our many suitcases) between 4 cities. They were extremely responsive (sometimes in a matter of seconds), extremely efficient, very flexible, and affordable. The drivers and cars were great. Always waiting for us on time as agreed.
