Itinerary

Day 1: Cruise ship > Halong > Hanoi

11:30 AM – Pickup (flexible until 12:30 PM if needed)
Your driver will pick you up at the flagpole and take you to Tuan Chau Harbor. Meet your local guide and board the boat.

12:00 PM – Halong Bay Cruise
Check in onboard and cruise into Halong Bay. Visit Thien Cung Cave and Dau Go Cave, then enjoy kayaking at Ba Hang. Continue into the core of the bay to see iconic limestone formations such as Incense Burner Rock and Fighting Cock Rock. Enjoy lunch onboard while cruising back to the harbor.

4:00 PM – Transfer to Hanoi
Arrive back at the harbor, where your driver will meet you and transfer you to Hanoi. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours.
On arrival, meet your local Hanoi guide and head straight to Hanoi Train Street for a close-up experience of the famous railway running through the neighborhood.
Afterward, explore the Hanoi Old Quarter on foot and enjoy a local street food tour.

8:30 PM – Hotel Drop-off
Your guide and driver will drop you off at your hotel in Hanoi. Please arrange and book your Hanoi accommodation separately.

Day 2: Hanoi > Cruise ship

7:30 AM – Hotel Pickup & Hanoi Sightseeing
Meet your guide and driver at your hotel. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including the exterior of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the museum area, fish pond, and One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university.
After sightseeing, your guide will take you to a local restaurant for lunch.

1:00 PM – Depart Hanoi
Leave Hanoi and travel back to Halong.

4:00 PM – Arrive at Halong Cruise Port
Drop-off at the same port where your cruise ship is docked.

Pickup

Flagpole outside the Main Lobby entrance · 11:30–12:30 PM (latest)

After your ship docks, you’ll need about 30 minutes to disembark and make your way to the main lobby, either on foot or by the free shuttle bus (about 1 km)

Excellent Service and Very Kind to My Elderly Mother

Excellent service from Hai Phong Tours. The communication was quick and clear, and the drivers were kind, careful, and punctual. They were especially considerate of my elderly mother, which we really appreciated. I would definitely use their service again.

Wr used Hai Phuong Tours for transfers in northern Vietnam during our 3 week trip there. They arranged private transfers for my family (and our many suitcases) between 4 cities. They were extremely responsive (sometimes in a matter of seconds), extremely efficient, very flexible, and affordable. The drivers and cars were great. Always waiting for us on time as agreed. Very clear communication. This is an outstanding travel agency. I wish I had used them for all aspects of our trip not just the transfers. Next time we will. Highly recommend!
