Overnight Excursion
1:30–2:30 PM: Your driver picks you up at the flagpole, Halong Cruise Port. Drive approximately 3.5 hours to Ninh Binh, meet local tour guide, have dinner.
7:00 PM: Take a scenic boat ride on Ky Lan Lake, approximately 30 minutes round trip, enjoying the illuminated evening scenery.
After the boat ride, walk around Hoa Lu Ancient Town, explore the pedestrian streets and enjoy the evening atmosphere.
8:30 PM: Return to Hotel
8:00 AM: Depart for Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex.
8:00–10:00 AM: Enjoy a traditional sampan boat journey through Trang An's limestone mountains, waterways and caves.
10:00 AM: Depart for Hoa Lu Ancient Capital and visit the historic former capital of Vietnam.
11:00 AM: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Ninh Binh or guide's house.
1:00 PM: Drive directly back to Halong.
Around 4:00 PM: Drop-off at the cruise port in time to rejoin the ship.

After your ship docks, you’ll need about 30 minutes to disembark and make your way to the main lobby, either on foot or by the free shuttle bus (about 1 km).
Drop-off at the same flagpole where you were picked up.

Under 5 years old: Free of charge for 1 child per 2 adults.
Additional children under 5: Charged at 75% of the adult price.
5–8 years old: Charged at 75% of the adult price. Children over 1.2 meters tall are charged as adults.
9 years old and above: Charged at 100% of the adult price.
Free cancellation or changes up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time.
Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of pickup are charged 100% of the total price.

I booked a Halong Bay tour and a transport from Hai Phong to Tam Coc. The tour was really interesting. Our guide marteen did a great job and the food was delicious. I would have liked to hear more about the cave especially the stone formations and creation rather than stones looking like chicken or turtles though. The transport worked good as well. Although only a few people actually speak english, the little they speak ist enough to tell you what to do. Hotel pickup and delivery back worked just as good as the organization of the tour and transport via WhatsApp. Thank you!
