Quang Hanh is a local bottled-water name from Quang Ninh Province, the same province as Ha Long Bay. Check the specific bottle: sparkling mineral water and still bottled water containing natural minerals are different products.
For a cruise port day, choose from the label rather than the brand name alone. “Quang Hanh” does not automatically mean sparkling, still, neutral-tasting or suitable for a passenger’s medical fluid plan.
The quick buying decision
Choose “không ga” when you want the still version. Choose “có ga” or “bổ sung ga” when you want carbonation. Confirm the seal, date, storage condition and bottle size before paying.
If neither label is clear, ask the seller: “Nước này có ga không?”—“Is this water carbonated?” Do not open the bottle merely to test it before purchase.
How to identify the two versions
- “Nước khoáng thiên nhiên” means natural mineral water.
- “Bổ sung ga” or “có ga” means carbonated or sparkling.
- “Không ga” means non-carbonated or still.
- “Chai 500 ml” identifies a 500 milliliter bottle, but other sizes may exist.
The producer describes a 500 ml carbonated natural-mineral-water product and a 500 ml still bottled-water product containing natural minerals. Stock, label design and package size can change, so use the current bottle rather than an old product photograph.
Expect the mineral taste to differ
The carbonated product is described by its producer as strongly mineralized and having a salty character. A passenger expecting neutral purified water may find the taste surprising.
A mineral taste does not prove that a bottle is authentic, newly opened or stored correctly. Check the tamper-evident seal and do not accept a bottle that is already open, leaking, swollen, unusually cloudy or damaged.
Still water can also contain minerals. “Không ga” only describes the absence of carbonation; it does not mean distilled, purified or mineral-free.
Read the composition panel for medical restrictions
A passenger with a clinician-directed sodium, mineral, fluid or kidney plan should read the current composition panel and follow that plan. Do not infer the content from the word “mineral” or from another bottle size.
Quang Hanh water is not a substitute for prescribed oral rehydration solution, medicine or a measured clinical fluid. A guide should not recommend a particular amount for heart, kidney or electrolyte conditions.
If the label is unreadable or the composition matters medically, choose a product the passenger already understands or ask a qualified professional.
Do not confuse the bottle with Quang Hanh Onsen
The name Quang Hanh also appears in searches for the mineral-water bathing destination near Halong. Buying a bottle does not include an onsen visit, and visiting the onsen is a separate transfer, admission, heat and return-time decision.
Use the Quang Hanh Onsen port-day guide if you are deciding whether that attraction fits your ship call.
Where cruise passengers can look for it
Try a supermarket, convenience store, restaurant or café in Bai Chay. Availability at a particular shop is not guaranteed, and a store may carry only one version.
The Halong Shore Excursion guide to buying bottled water and snacks near Halong Cruise Port explains how to plan a practical stop. Do not send a distant vehicle route merely to find one brand when another suitable sealed bottle is available.
Ask the seller the price before opening the bottle and check the change. Keep the receipt when the purchase is part of a larger restaurant or shop bill.
Carry water through the whole port-day chain
Place the bottle where the passenger can reach it during the vehicle or local boat journey. Do not leave the only permitted fluid in luggage stored far from the seat.
Confirm whether an attraction, local sightseeing boat or cruise ship security allows the opened bottle to pass its checkpoint. Rules can differ, so finish, discard or retain it only as instructed.
For drinking-water and ice decisions beyond this product, read the Halong tap-water guide.
Final label check
- Still or sparkling wording matches your preference.
- The seal and bottle are intact.
- The date and storage instructions are acceptable.
- The composition fits any personal medical plan.
- The price and bottle size are clear.
- You have not confused the bottled product with an onsen visit.
Quang Hanh mineral water can be a simple local drink choice during a Halong port day. The useful check is the actual sealed label in your hand, not a general assumption about the brand.
