Halong Shore Excursion

Will Your Halong Guide Know Your Ship’s All-Aboard Time?

Your Halong guide should receive your ship’s current all-aboard or last-tender time, but the passenger must verify it onboard and send it to Halong Shore Excursion. Do not assume the guide knows a change announced after booking, and do not use the itinerary’s scheduled sailing time as though it were the passenger deadline. Record the time, clock basis and correct port or tender landing before leaving the ship.

All aboard is different from sailing time

All aboard is the time by which passengers must be back on the ocean ship. Sailing is when the vessel is scheduled to depart. A cruise line may set all aboard earlier than sailing, and tender passengers may have a separate last-tender instruction.

Use the Halong all-aboard guide to separate these boundaries. The excursion return plan should target the correct public-side port point early enough to complete the terminal, shuttle, security, tender or gangway movement before the passenger deadline.

Verify the time after you are onboard

Official cruise-line guidance tells passengers to verify all aboard onboard and may post it near the gangway or in current daily information. Check the source used by your ship for that call: the daily programme, app, cabin notice, announcement, gangway sign or Guest Services.

A pre-cruise itinerary, search result or old screenshot can be outdated. If two official ship sources conflict, ask ship staff before disembarking.

State the clock basis

Write “ship time” or “local Vietnam time” beside every deadline. Do not send only “back by 17:00.” If the ship and local clocks differ, give both and state which one controls passenger boarding.

Show the guide the ship display or screenshot and ask for the time to be repeated. The Halong ship-time versus local-time guide prevents a one-hour assumption from entering every pickup and return calculation.

Send the complete return instruction

Halong Shore Excursion needs:

  • ocean ship’s full name;
  • Halong arrival date;
  • all-aboard time or last-tender time;
  • ship-time and local-time relationship;
  • berth, terminal or tender landing announced onboard;
  • any passenger mobility or boarding assistance;
  • operator’s target arrival at the public port point; and
  • the planned contingency before the ship deadline.

Scheduled ship departure can be included for context, but it does not replace the passenger return instruction.

Ask the guide to name the landside return target

The guide should answer with the time the vehicle plans to reach the correct public-side entrance or tender landing. That time must be earlier than all aboard because passengers are not yet aboard when the vehicle stops.

Then ask for the latest departure from the farthest attraction and the contingency kept between routine travel and the ship boundary. “We know the ship time” is less useful than a complete return chain.

The driver must receive the same deadline

The guide may coordinate the itinerary while the driver manages the road. Both need the same ship name, return point, clock basis and target. If the guide and driver state different times, stop and reconcile them before the group continues.

Use the Halong guide-and-driver return-time procedure. The earlier unexplained answer is not automatically correct; the operator should identify whether one person means attraction departure, port arrival, last tender or all aboard.

A guide cannot learn a change that was never sent

The ship may advance all aboard, change a tender schedule or use another landing after the excursion was booked. Report the update immediately through the saved contact. Include the source and current time.

Halong Shore Excursion should acknowledge it and recalculate the remaining day. The earlier-all-aboard plan for Halong explains which visits to remove first.

Do not wait for the final stop to discuss the deadline

Confirm all aboard at the morning meeting, after any late disembarkation, before the farthest movement and before the principal return. The guide should update the group if the actual road time, boat operation, weather or passenger delay has used the planned contingency.

A private excursion can shorten by agreement. It cannot move the ship’s passenger deadline.

Shared tours can include passengers from different ships

If a service combines cruise passengers, each ship can have a different deadline, terminal or tender operation. Tell Halong Shore Excursion which passengers belong to which ship. The earliest controlling return may determine the group plan.

Do not assume another passenger’s all-aboard time applies to you. The two-ship Halong port-call guide covers vehicle identity, crowding and separate ship instructions.

One group contact should own updates

Name a lead passenger who receives ship messages and sends changes to the guide and Halong Shore Excursion. Other passengers should still hold the return details; one dead phone must not erase the deadline.

Save the ship name, port point, all aboard, last tender, guide contact and fallback on every relevant phone and one paper card. The Halong offline-information checklist prepares this backup.

If a passenger separates from the group

Before free time or an early return, give that passenger the same ship deadline, clock basis and correct return point. Confirm who transports them and how they report being aboard.

Do not assume the guide’s main-group return plan protects someone who leaves independently. The passenger needs a separate complete route and margin.

Accessibility changes the last movement

A wheelchair user, slow walker or passenger needing ship assistance may require more time from vehicle drop-off to the gangway or tender. Tell Halong Shore Excursion the functional need so the public-port arrival target is earlier.

Do not place the buffer only on the road. The final kerb, terminal, security and ship movement are part of the excursion fit.

If communication fails

Follow the most recently verified ship instruction stored offline. Keep the group with the guide and return according to the protected plan. Do not continue an optional visit because nobody has received a new message.

If ship staff, the port agent or Halong Shore Excursion later confirms a change, use the verified update. Avoid acting on an unknown caller who supplies only the ship name.

All-aboard handover checklist

  • Current deadline verified onboard.
  • All aboard and sailing separated.
  • Last tender recorded where applicable.
  • Ship and local time reconciled.
  • Correct port entrance or landing named.
  • Guide, driver and operator repeat the same target.
  • Public-port arrival set before the passenger deadline.
  • Mobility and port-to-ship movement included.
  • Updates saved offline and acknowledged.
  • Optional stop identified for removal.

Send Halong Shore Excursion: “For [ship] on [date], the current onboard instruction is all aboard or last tender at [time] in [ship/local time]. The announced return point is [port/landing]. Please acknowledge this, state the target public-port arrival and latest departure from our farthest stop, and recalculate if the ship changes the time.”

The practical sequence is Ship + Arrival Date → onboard verification → all aboard or last tender → clock basis → correct return point → guide and driver acknowledgement → landside target → protected return to the ship.
